Andorra, nicknamed as the snow capital, has one of the largest skiable areas of the Pyrenees. Two interlinked ski areas (Granvalira and Vallnord) together form a 3075 hectare skiable domain, with 282km of pistes, 106 ski lifts and 1417 cannons of artificial snow. In the middle of the Vallnord ski area, the resort of La Massana offers 89km of pistes for skiers and snowboarders. In the resort of La Massana, you can choose from a large range of snow oriented activities such as snowshoeing, skibiking, dog-sleigh rides, and snow mobiles. One single skipass allows you access to the 66 skiables pistes and take the new La Massana-Pal cable car. At a speed of 7.5m/second, the cable car travels 2250m and takes you from the resort La Massana (1200m) to the sector of Pal-Arinsal (1900m). There, you will find the “Freestyle Area”, with an amazing half pipe, a slope style ride, a rails avenue, kids junior rails and a permanent circuit for boardercross and ski cross.
